About

We are London International Choir. Internationalism and diversity are at our core.

We come from more than a dozen countries, speak different languages, and encompass a range of ages. We’re united in our diversity and love of music and performance.

Every season we welcome people, of any nationality, into the choir. We explore a variety of musical styles and genres, taking on new challenges whilst enjoying the varied, international nature of the group through social events and friendship.

At the beginning of each season we run ‘taster’ rehearsals for people who may be interested in joining. Although we do hold auditions, potential is as important as previous experience, and many people have joined us without having sung in choirs previously.

Inclusive, warm, authentic and fun, LIC – as we like to call it – has become a family away from home for many of us and brings joy to the lives of its members and audiences alike.

We rehearse towards the big, ‘end of season’ concerts every June and December with smaller gigs throughout the season. Recently we have performed at the St. James Bermondsey, National Maritime Museum, Southbank Centre, V&A Museum and the Truman Brewery. Being a part of events organised for and by local communities gives us a lot of fulfilment.

Our biggest wish is for more powerful and beautiful groupings like LIC happen all over the world – so that we can contribute towards a happier and more inclusive world.
